Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon

Home Information Map Review

Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon Selection is an Argentinian red wine made from grapes sourced from the Vistalba wine-growing region. Terrazas Wines are hand harvested from select estate vineyards within the top districts of Perdriel and Eugenio Bustos, Uco Valley.

Terrazas de los Andes was established in 1992 by Chandon Argentina, which was itself established by Champagne Moet et Chandon as their Argentine wine project in 1960. Terrazas produce superb premium wines from some of the world’s highest vineyards. The winery has been named after the terraces situated at different altitudes upon which the vines are grown. Based on over 47 years of research and experimentation with local microclimates and terrain, each selected terrace has been matched with a unique varietal to express its maximum potential. Within these unique microclimates, Terrazas de los Andes presents a range of wines that offer great fruit concentration and varietal character.

Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon is made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are sourced from vineyards which are at least 20 years old  and can be flood or drip irrigated. After vinification the wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in a combination of first, second, third and fourth fill French oak barrels prior to bottling.

Deep red colour and full bodied wine. Earthy & Spicy. Notes of black fruit such as fig, plum and blackberry combined with notes of rex pepper. Licorice and toast create lush, fruity character and perfect ripeness of tannins. - Joel
