Produced from the harvest of one of the cooler years of the past decade, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2008, made predominantly from chardonnay, has an unmistakable vigour and freshness.
The 2012 Grand Vintage evokes the transition from spring to summer. It offers superb harmony, accompanied by softness and freshness.
This vintage’s red grape varieties were particularly good, especially the Meunier, which explains their dominant proportion in the blend. For once, the Chardonnay stays slightly in the background. Pinot Noir 33%, Pionot Meunier 26% & Chardonnay 41%.
The attack is soft, supple and fluid. The palate then develops texture, with a softness like cashmere or felt. This initial softness gradually reveals a purity, the crisp structure lengthens, lingering, to offer an iodized, tangy finish, underscored by a mouthwatering hint of grapefruit.
