The Taittinger headquarters are in Reims, situated above some magnificent 4th century Roman cellars which formerly belonged to the Benedictine monks of the abbey of St Nicaise. The vast expanse of tunnels and cellars are perfect for the slow but necessary ageing process involved in making this great champagne.light pink. Spicy strawberry, redcurrant, blood orange and minerals on the nose, plus a hint of jasmine. Nervy, focused and light on its feet, with fresh red fruit and tangerine flavours underpinned by juicy acidity. The racy finish offers excellent lift and a lingering minerality. A rose of elegance more than power.
