Citadelle Gin is made with 19 different botanicals from all over the world including French juniper and star anise, Moroccan coriander, Mexican orange peel, Sri Lankan violets and Chinese liquorice. Citadelle is triple-distilled from wheat and spring water and distilled with a careful infusion of botanicals over a naked flame, in a copper pot still. The gin was originally developed in a Dunkirk distillery in the late 18th Century, when Dunkirk was one of the earliest European ports for explorers of the Orient. The continued use of the finest herbs and spices from across the globe results in an authentic and flavourful gin with a unique, complex, yet well-balanced flavour. With a delicate and fragrant nose of fresh flowers, jasmine, honeysuckle and cinnamon, Citadelle Gin's stronger, more herbaceous aromas of anise, grains of paradise and cinnamon open up on the palate. Crisp and clean, the juniper gives way to a clean citrus, leading into an elegant, round and refined finish.
